Yes. Beachfront gardens need materials chosen for constant salt exposure, and planting that can take the wind. We build for the position rather than treating every job the same.
What holds up best that close to the water?
Hardwood decking, travertine and stone, paired with coastal planting. Cheap finishes look fine for a season and then start going backwards.
Can you make the most of a view from the plateau?
That is usually the first thing we plan. Deck height, seating and where the planting sits all get set around the outlook.
